VILLA TEJA

Guest House
ABOUT

VILLA TEJA

In Balme, in the old village of Cornetti, along the Rio Paschiet we find Villa Teja, a
historical holiday residence built in 1880 for the Turin banker Vincenzo Teja, modelled on traditional Swiss mountain chalets. Since then the ownership of the villa has been transmitted through the generations following an all-female descent that continues today. Mrs Eugenia has inherited the legacy of the house and its history of over a century, undertaking a careful restoration and renovation that has made it a cozy place to stay and relax for mountain lovers and a well-equipped starting point for hiking itineraries.

Anima, sii come la montagna:
che quando tutta la valle
è un grande lago di viola
e i tocchi delle campane vi affiorano
come bianche ninfee di suono,
lei sola, in alto, si tende
ad un muto colloquio col sole.
